Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Awesome
Just bumped into a fellow on the elevator with the name. tag...Tim Fowler.
Tim?
great photos people. Keep having a good 'un
Great to see so many familiar faces - a proof that this game is not something you play a year and then replace

Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Well now I've seen the evidence, there are 3 'Tims', is 3 x the chance of being shot down?
See you on the Dark Side......
Tim did say he pitied anyone sharing a room with him as he is a world record holder for the zzzzzzzzz
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
on a separate note, i will say the handwriting is pretty spot on.
Oh Lordy, Lordy - Is that Boom card Tim is so joyfully displaying, the result of a collision? If so, I'm so relieved somebody else did it this time And if it was Phillip who has claimed that "victory" - perhaps we should form a club PhillipWell, Tim is here and, well, we seem to be having a good time, I think. Not totally sure.
When the dust settles many more photos will follow.

Nice bunch of photos - Looking forward to seeing more
It was great to see everyone at Origins this year -- it has been too long!
Not everyone recognized me because I let my hair grow out during the pandemic and decided to keep it that way.
That's quite a difference Ann, you can plait it for a pirate look now, m'hearty !

Are there any pilots due for awards for the show this year? If so will the chaps who ran the games please put them in for their medals on the requests link and I will authorise them.
Rob.

Thanks Pete.

I think we had a very successful second Harry Paul Materne III Memorial Tournament. We had 17 participants ending with Phillip (Milcoll73) winning by 1 point!
The winner!
showing off his prizes, 2 Drachens painted my malachi and a kill coin.
Here is a partial lineup of the participants and helpers. Some had fled before I could get the photo.

Great to put faces to the 'Drome members!
what a happy rogues gallery. looks like everybody had a great time
Some great pictures!
Great pics - really good to put the faces to handles.
After Origins and the Museum tour I visitred Chris (Malachi) who was hosting Pete (Stumptonian). We played a couple non-Wings games and had a load of laughs. Drove home Wed-Thur and am recovering from all the smoke inhalation during the drive. At the moment dealing with home rennovations so be patient. Lots of photos to edit and post. Hope to start soon...

A few more from the games and a handful from Dayton museum. I have tons more but it's super-slow to post one at a time while the forum software spins so could only do these:
Sails
Tim's Rescue the Raiders
Those pesky Martians
Sails. Frenchmen Robert and Patrick look worried.
The Italians routed the Austrians, Carl plans.
BYOP - Steffi ruled the skies.
Matt Memorial tourney
Congrats to Phil on the win!
Entente tandems run the gauntlet
Final game, SE5a vs D.VII
Museum
Origins Game 1, Martians on the Rampage can be seen HERE.
Lots of good action with the earthlings doing a good job holding off the Martians. Only 1 plane went down as well as one Martian.
Origins 2023 Game 2, Not on My Watch, can be seen HERE.
Albatros DVas from J26 take on N24s from Escadrille N94. One Rumpler tries to cross the lines with the French not going along with it.
Wednesday evening after the official games were over, Chris brought out the Battlestar Galactica. He wanted revenge for last year when I taught him and Robert BSG. Unfortunately he chose sides randomly and Tim and I teamed up as Colonials vs Chris and Pete as Cylons.
Chris jumped in first and took the worst of his exchanges with me. Pete cautiosly approaches us as Tim circles 'round behind.
Where is Pete?
Chris finds himself between Tim and myself. Not a good place for this toaster.
Tim gets the kill shot.
Pete gets to the party a little late and has to tangle with the two of us.
This time I get the kill shot.

Tricksy humans.
Again, great pics and lots of fun Thanks for sharing guys
The chits I drew from Chris's bag brought back memories of my shellacking at Peter's place last year.
Pete, I just noticed you were flying the 'F' ship base, so you were indeed 'F'd!
The first of three Origins SOG games can be seen HERE.
The Glorious 22nd of June
Six captains set sail for fame and glory....unfortunately only three get that honor.
Great photos and looks like fantastic games and old friends.
Tim Hague, Flying Helmut ran a game on Thursday afternoon, Rescue the Raiders. My AAR of it can be seen HERE.
When Tim is involved, mayhem follows!
