Origins game 3 Martians on the Rampage Thursday 3 pm

In the past T&T drew well but sadly this year there were only 2 per-registered players. At game time there were three as we had a walk up. To make it more interesting I took a Martian along with first timer Chris (malachi) so we could have a 2 on 2. The pilots got to fly a cannon armed SPAD XII and a rocker armed SPAD VII. No altitude was used. There were 8 objective markers and terrain to hinder the invaders.

The Martians lived up to the hype and game title and ran rampage over France destroying all but one of the towns in sight.

Thanks Pete for letting me play, I had a blast

Thanks for stopping in Bill. I find driving a Martian a lot of fun. You can be quite innovative in your turns to keep your shields in the right direction, energy manegement, seeking out the objectives and using your weapons.

Too bad the interest seems to have died for the T & T.
    Good to see the action.

That looked like a very exciting game gents. I must dig out my Martians again soon and give them a whirl.

Yes, well done Peter & Co - needs more players and planes to stop those pesky Martians. Might have to see if we can persuade the Flight Club crowd to give it a bash sometime, I know Baz is keen at least.

I've been wondering where all the World War I AARs have been hiding.
So how many books are in your personal library?

I was aprehensive about T&T but driving a Martian is a lot of fun. A very different game with the energy management and all the action options.

Robert, sadly I only ran one WWI game on Sunday. I filled in all the holes in the schedule so I ran the SOG games, T&T and then some WW2. Others that ran the WWI games I hope will post more photos and AARs.

Great AAR and action, well done the Martians especially for a heat ray kill. Was always going to be difficult for the two planes as the squid is quick. Happy to play a Martian at Fight Club if it gets approved.

We'll have to sound them out on Sunday for next time, Baz.
Sauerkraut & I can pilot Martians along with you so that could leave plenty of pilots to take the Tripods on..!
