Exclamation One for the Petrol Heads ( Motor Racing Fans!)

I noticed quite a few comments on Guntruck's post re the Brooklands Museum Visit re the Racing Car photos he put up.

I thought some of you might enjoy some photos I took at Warwick Farm racetrack back in 1966/7 of the Tasman Cars that the F1 drivers drove for that series in Australia & New Zealand. I was racing my Hillman Gazelle at those meetings & could "rub shoulders" with the F1 mob in the pits.
See how many drivers you can Identify!

Absolute treasure trove of pics there Baz, you wouldn't get that kind of access these days without knowing somebody or having a ton of money.

    Great pics.
My older brother had slot cars (1/32 Monogram) of many of those in the mid 60s.

Dan don't go there. I think we would all be hooked by such a game.

Yea, hooked would be an understatement.

Oh, thanks for this post. I love racing. I have many, many times more $ invested in my 1/32 scale slot car gear than I do in WoG. I once filled my basement with a track that filled four 4x8 sheets of plywood made into a custom table. When I made the basement into a theater/man cave, it all went into storage.

Seeing this makes me want to dig it all back out! Thanks for sharing!

I have quite the slot car collection as well. I have an 8' x 8' track setup up in my garage. Love it!
