Helicopters used to be called 'Whirly Birds', indeed I remember watching a t.v. series of that name as a child about a pair of intrepid pilots flying on adventures in a Bell helicopter. This was long before Airwolf and Blue Thunder.

WOW I barely remember that show. Would never have thought about it until you put it up here. Thanks for making me feel old. I was watching an episode of NCIS today and Gibbs found a thumb drive in a cereal box and he said that they are putting decoder rings in cereal again. Everyone had no clue what he was talking about. So if you remember that it tells your age.

Looking at the picture of the WHITE HAWK that is a presidential Black Hawk. They are supporting an air ambulance service so maybe should have a medivac Black Hawk on the label.

According to Wikipedia the VH-60N White Hawk is a modified UH-60A Black Hawk with some features from the SH-60B/F Seahawks. It is used for Presidential and VIP transport by USMC. It entered service in 1988 and nine were delivered.

I believe all the helos are flown by the USMC and all the VIP ones have the white job on them. I saw a CH46 that brought the CNO to where I worked and that's how it was painted. Where I live in MD is sometimes see them fly over. One time there were 3 CH-46's and 3 Sea Stallions in the group. Some site to see.

Now "That's" my kind of Beer Rob!
Flying Bob Sandford Tuck's Hurricane last night at Games Club I shot down a Me109 & a Stuka.
A Bottle of that would have topped the night off perfectly!

Most of those Hurricane ales appeared in #14 but there was one new one.

This beer commemorates the B-25 Mitchells of 18 Squadron.
