    Default Suitable Eaglemoss Ships?

    Hi,

Now having delved into BSG and bought a few ships I was looking around at what else could be a good enough scale to run convoy or rescue type scenarios. Most of the Eaglemoss ships look too small (when compared to the viper) but the Colonial Shuttle should, I hope, be about right.

I have seen the XWing ship C-Roc in another thread, are there any other suggestions for ships?

    TIA

There's a "sister" ship to the C-Roc, the Gozanti (in military grey).
    I have both.

Beyond that, I'm planning to build my own "targets".

With the help of an online scale converter, I estimate the Eaglemoss Shuttle to be 1:125 scale.

It would be very big in comparison to its actual size.

PS: A close scale Mk I shuttle should be about 156mm?

    Found another site with measurements.

With yet another site providing the length of a Mk I Shuttle as 20m, not the 25m of the Mk II Shuttle.

So, the math wasn't correct. The Eaglemoss model, with the 20m "life" size measurement, the scale works out to 1:68.

I'm curious about the Eaglemoss. When I first saw the Galactica I was excited. But it is resin, the details look soft and the paint job is less than impressive in the pictures. Does anyone have good pictures.

I picked up the Shuttle and have photo'd it next to a Mk2 Viper, I think it scales really well

    Looks just right!

I must get one of these myself.

Many thanks for posting the photos.

    Hmmm...

I couldn't find anything but estimates on the Shuttle Mk I size. I finally found an artist impression of the scale, using an average person. I estimated the door opening at 7', and extrapolated from there.

With a door size of 7', the length of the Shuttle Mk I is about 108'. A Viper Mk II is 8.8m, or 28 feet. Based on the photo provided by Steve [Sweekesuk] above, it actually looks close?

    So much for my math.

PS: I do note that the 20m length I used put the Shuttle Mk I at 65', not 108' (32.9m).
