Phillip is correct. Ares is reprinting this year and I've been told they will be available with the Series 4 reprints. As always, I'll offer them via the AA store.
Great news looking forward to getting my aircraft back in the air
Regards Kev
I just got word that the flight pegs are not in the container with the Series 4 reprints. Not sure when they are coming now.
Peg requests have always buffled me. How come, old chaps? If you own at least 10-20 original minis with 4 pegs each how can you miss any?
Interchange them, what the problem, my Goodness? Do you host 10+ player games? How often? I have ziliards of pegs!
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
I'm the same way, Andy - I have plenty of pegs for normal gaming, and even for converting some to magnets. Now, if I were ever to sell off planes and need 4 per plane, it might be iffy...but for normal playing purposes, I never have problems with pegs. I even sent a couple of new folks a bag of pegs about a year ago...
All the best,
Matt
That's a real bummer...
That's exactly the point. I have 28 minis, but 3 pegs are already worn out or did break. Let's say people don't buy the original minis, just the Shapeways or any other models, you don't have any pegs. If you convert some of them into magnet holders (which may or may not work every time; I don't want to glue the balls to the mini so I have to cut the pegs to make it work) and play with fly higher rules, you get pretty thin pretty quick (I love the optics of high flying planes over my self-made clouds which hang around 4-8 pegs). I think I would order at least 100 pegs.
I will gladly take them off your hands

I completely forgot about those players who use more than four pegs when they fly, Felix - good point! I certainly do not begrudge others for needing pegs depending on how and what you fly. And you all are right - if you are cutting pegs to make them into magnets/bearings, it does take away from your stock of them. It is a shame that pegs are not a regular-stock item to the point where whoever needs however many can get them...
All the best,
Matt
I've bought multiple bags of pegs when available, but have sold them/given them all to fellow 'Dromers, so will need to get some more when they are reprinted.
Two bags of 50 went on ebay uk last week, for Ł24.12, plus shipping
Someone was desperate...................

How many do you need? I have a bag mostly going spare.
Just curious...how much is a zilliard?
I asked Ares Games via e-mail about the pegs and recieved the following mail:
A minute later, I recieved another mail:Dear fekix, thank you, please check our upcoming page at http://www.aresgames.eu/upcoming-products Thank you
I'm not sure about the second mail because they called me John so I think it might be a mistake...Dear John, it should be in shops in the next few days. Thank you
Need pegs, but need the bomber ones for my AIM HE 111's. I think that would be a useful item to restock. Everyone has skads of fighter pegs, but the bombers were rarer and hard to get.
ebay UK has a bag of 50 fighter pegs, currently running @ Ł14!!!!!
still a couple of days to go...……………………………….

My advice: when they finally come back into stock, future proof yourself by getting a bag or two of the fighter pegs, and a bag of the bomber pegs. They're not very big and with a supply like that tucked away, you'll be in good shape for going down the Shapeways / 3D printing rabbit hole, or doing magnets, or helping out a fellow gamer, etc. All good things!
I've had very good luck finding various odds and ends by posting up in the for sale and wanted forums here. Good luck!

Scout sized altitude pegs are now in stock at the AA store.

Thanks Herr Oberst!

Damn, waited too long. At least I got the last three bags
Those went fast! I've just placed an order for more from Ares.
Wow, those really did go fast. I bought a bag of scout sized pegs a few years ago, but effectively used them up swapping them with ones from other planes to get a set of 4 pegs for each that fit snugly. Pretty much all that's left over are those that don't fit snugly. (Too loose due to slightly undersized pegs or slightly oversized holes (probably within the manufacturing tolerances, but just barely and enough to cause a loose fit.))
They are back in stock!!
Yes! Thank you
