I'm beginning to re-think dropping that Travel by sub-orbital trebuchet service I had proposed.

Hop on a Chinese balloon Tim , makes for a good Scenario for Origins.
On the serious side surely there must be a way to get you there, have you tried the routes from other airports or countries ?

I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings

That part is easy. It's the landing that's a problem. We wouldn't want to leave Tim a big, squishy mess.

    Rightho, flights rearranged!

I now leave Dayton in the mid morning, instead of late afternoon (good news for Jim - he can get shot of me 6 hours earlier!!!) and I now leave Chicago an hour later, flying overnight back to Blighty.

On the downside, this means I now have a 9 HOUR layover @ Chicago O'Hare!!!

Good news Tim, but it sounds a bit like you should treat this info as some do pregnancy - don't tell us until you are almost due Anyway, fingers crossed Pointless saying "Break a leg" with you wearing all that shiny armour (see polo shirts UK thread).

    That's OK, "Le Micro".....

I'll just settle for breaking other peoples' legs, as per usual! (see polo shirts UK thread - hand-and-a-half bastard sword!)

I hope that still leaves you time for the Airforce Museum.

as long as you have the proper gear and remember to pull the ripcord in time. that part should be not too bad. barring unfortunate equipment issues of course.

Hey Tim, I'll be at Origins this year too, but I have to drive back to Illinois Saturday morning. Give me the flight schedule when we are at Origins and maybe I can meet you at O'Hare and keep you entertained during the layover. Maybe with a few planes and a board, and some of the Illinois Squadron if possible!!! I'm only 45 minutes west of Chicago by Rockford!!!

Is there anyone Stateside who could help out one of my German Mariners?

Dobbs has some chits he wants to send over here for myself and Lt. Bush. He has found the price of postage prohibitive, and we wondered if he could post to someone over your side of the pond who was attending Origins, and that if Tim would act as courier, he could post them to me or hand them on at a show and I could then forward them to Lt. Bush at much less postage.
First though I must ask Tim if he is willing to handle boaty boys stuff. I promise that no Sails will be involved in this transaction Tim.

Also thanks for your offer Peter. I think you have a full enough schedule as it is, but will hold you in reserve if I may.

Package arrived. Should I put them in a lead-lined baggie so Tim doesn't get burns from them

Medical advice slip should also be appended stating the three dried frog pills a day should be taken whilst in the proximity of the product.

And in all seriousness, a reminder closer to the date would be helpful, as my brains are old.
