Origins game 3 Martians on the Rampage Thursday 3 pm
In the past T&T drew well but sadly this year there were only 2 per-registered players. At game time there were three as we had a walk up. To make it more interesting I took a Martian along with first timer Chris (malachi) so we could have a 2 on 2. The pilots got to fly a cannon armed SPAD XII and a rocker armed SPAD VII. No altitude was used. There were 8 objective markers and terrain to hinder the invaders.
Chris’s Locust advances towards an objective while a SPAD XII hunts him down.
Chris gets off a well aimed heat ray attack but somehow misses the speedy SPAD.
Chris burps out a black cloud of Martian smoke while the Squid puts some real damage on the red SPAD.
The yellow SPAD VII flies through the black smoke with no apparent damage.
Another well aimed heat ray by the Squid knocks the red SPAD out of the sky in flames. (first time I ever downed a plane with a Martian!)
The yellow SPAD gets in a shot through an unshielded side and the Locust (malachi) is set on fire to the joy of the earthlings!
The Squid gets some revenge for the burning Locust by damaging the SPAD VII causing smoke to trail across the sky.
The SPADs gang up on the Squid while the Locust destroys an objective or two.
Bill (Old guy) joins in and takes over driving the Squid. (Bill in light hat, Chris with the green target on his chest.)
The SPADs still focusing on the Squid giving Chris’s Locust a free Martian hand to crush any objectives he can find.
The Red SPAD Immelmanns to have another run at the Squid as the yellow SPAD tries to figure how to get a successful rocket fored.
The Red SPAD’s cannon hits the Squid hard and sets it on fire!
Here comed the Red SPAD again! Run Squid run!
Ooops, the Locust trips on some terrain and falls over. Ooooo! The airplane pilots like the look of this.
The yellow SPAD gets in a shot before Chris can stand up.
The Locust gets on it’s feet as the yellow SPAD flies away.
The burning Squid attacks a French town while the Locust burps out more black smole.
The French airmen put up a good fight but most of their towns had been destroyed.
The Martians lived up to the hype and game title and ran rampage over France destroying all but one of the towns in sight.
