Some time ago, while searching something on aliexpress i stumbled over model butterflies for decorations. I thought this could be an idea for a scifi-wgf scenario in the style of those animal attack b-movies in the fifties.

During the spring of 1917 while our biplanes are quietly fighting each other, something strange flying over the horizon was reported. The german Oberkommando was sure that that giant butterfly-like thing was the latest french invention. The french thought it was the latest german secret weapon. Of course, both were wrong. Few days later a huge swarm of those beautiful mutants would invade the battlefield and go after each plane they smelled. So it happened that germans and allies teamed up to fight them...
