Campaign Beginning Dates

Historical dates to begin the campaign?

Battle of Britain Important dates:

1. Battle of Dunkirk - 26 May to 4 June 1940.
2. Kanalkampf, ("the Channel battles") - 10 July to 11 August
3. Adlerangriff ("Eagle Attack"), the early assault against the coastal airfields. - 12 to 23 August
4. The Luftwaffe targets the airfields. The critical phase of the battle. - 24 August to 6 September
5. The day attacks switch to British towns and cities. - 7 September onward.

Malta

1. Italian siege (June–December 1940)
2. Luftwaffe arrives (January–April 1941)

North Africa

Italian Declaration of War - 10 June 1940

That fits in with the time line I am working to for Malta. Whilst the battle of Dunkirk is going on it will give me time to get those Gladiators out of their crates and assembled.

I would start early and add Midway Rising into the campaign so that all other pilots could play it. Those that already have done it could make another type of missions in that period.

We have enough Bob and Malta scenario's to perhaps tentatively put forward a start date, I would like to propose March as the starting month for the BoB/Malta scenario's.

March seems good to me. But I probably will not be able to play in June/July as the Football World Cup will be held here and I am engaged in the security. I hope that it will not impact in my presence.

NP with missing time. They can always be played when you do have time. Only stops you cross posting into another Theater ie BoB to Med or Africa etc.

If I get on with my painting I should be ready for March. My JU 88, Wellingtons and Maryland arrived yesterday. Now all I need is cards for the Wellingtons. Max's are kaput.

German for BoB, although I might fly some of the missions from both sides, just because...
Allies for PTO... mostly USN & USMC, but I have a selection of Aussie Beaufighters and could convert a couple P-40s as well.
Not sure for Malta/N. Africa... I haven't confirmed either way.
