Anything ever happen with this? I would love to get a copy of that map or buy the electronic files, if necessary.
These Verdun game mats are finished for 6 years and a half (since December 2012).
Andrea Angiolino has recently written that they are supposed to be part of the WW1 Campaign and Scenarios box set.
They are divided in 3 parts, each has the same size as a WOG mat (68 x 98 cm).
Total size : 204 x 98 cm
I thought they had just faded into history!
It would be great to be able to get a variation on the current game mats.

A great project. They seem to be much better than those of Ares (I am not a fan of the latter).
These are brighter, the images look like taken from a lower altitude and cards would not mingle with the artwork.

Great news that these wonderful mats will be produced by ARES as part of a campaign set. I was excited when a campaign was mentioned during the T&T kickstarter. It looks much better not with these mats.
There has been talk about campaign rules for several years now, so hopefully this is a sign of them getting closer to being released. But if the maps are part of a boxed set, that mean they are just going to be printed on paper... which is a real shame
Something like this could really reboot the game, which it needs so much!
Wow ... best mat I have ever seen... bar none

Paper wouldn't be bad if they made their mat on matte.
Better yet on thicker cardboard, like many games do.
If they then produced on actual 'mouse pad', separate from the campaign, all the better.
Still waiting for the London maps in 'mousepad' ....
