Book Title: Dogfight: True Stories of Dramatic Air Actions
Author: Alfred Price
ISBN: 978-0-7524-5470-2
Category: History
Format: Paperback
Summary: Despite the WWI action shown on the cover, this 350pp book has only devotes two chapters to that subject before moving on to later conflicts. The majority of the book covers actions in WWII, from the early use and eclipse of the Stuka through to the introduction of jet fighters with the Me 262, examining the technology, tactics, strengths and weaknesses of various aircraft types and mission roles. Later chapters investigate actions in Vietnam, the Falklands and 1991 Gulf War. Overall, it is well-written and easily readable. Chapters are short and self-contained, so it's a great book to dip into from time-to-time rather than read cover-to-cover.
