Thread: Flight Stands

    Default Flight Stands

    Gentlemen, please remain seated.

Well I have all of my air planes out of the storage boxes. It seems that I have about 60 AC from series 1 and series 2. The problem is that I cannot find even 1 stand!!

So given where the rules have evolved while I was away, what is the best stands to buy (and where) as far as facilitating ease of game play, displaying altitude, stability etc.?

Didn't your series 1 & 2 come with their stands?

I think 'coming with' and 'knowing where I put them' may be different things in this case

Ares Games will market bags of official stands very soon. So I am told.

Scouts and two seaters only, or bombers and balloons too?

Thanks for the heads up Andrea that could be a very good move on Ares part.

I was using my WW1 AC to play Dawn Patrol (The rebox of TSR Fight in the Skies). I had made telescoping stands with heavy metal bases and rare earth magnets. So I packed the stands away. Now I cannot find them. <sigh> . If I look too hard I will wind up cleaning out the storage area. I sure don't want to do that!

Good news! Would it be logical to assume that altitude pegs will be sold on a stand-alone basis as well?

Excellent news. This and the news that manoeuvre decks will be sold separately suggests that someone in Ares is thinking logically about including models by other manufacturers in the game

Sounds as if someone has actually realised what a money pit is here just waiting to be tapped. Which will be good for all of us.
