Thread: Other non-aviation models

    Question Other non-aviation models

Hi, I'm looking for some models which go in line with the minis. Which means I need them in the right scale to use them during my games. I'd like to have especially tanks for WWI in 1/144 but I can't find them anywhere.

Does anyone know where I can find those models? Shops in Europe would be great but others will do the job as well.

    Cheers!

That bunch do tanks and infantry. Skytrex do truck-mounted AA guns and balloons on winch trucks.

Very nice! If the shipping doesn't kill me, I'm going to order. Cheers!

Either use the Irregular miniatues in 6mm or go for the Pendraken 10mm WW1 figures as they have a large range and pleanty of tanks and vehicles to go with the figures. By the way 10mm is about the right sale model wise with 1/144.

I have been wondering how important scale is in this case... from the pilots view, the tanks, artillery and ground units would appear smaller. That being said, I thought that I would introduce some information from my other, less expensive (Not!) hobby, N-scale model trains. N scale is 1:160th, so it is just marginally smaller than the 1/144th WWI Wings minis. The company I found is called Game Figures, Inc. and they have a nice little collection of N-scale WWI materials. http://www.minifigs.com/catalog/inde...h=41_2_323_325 Please note: I have not ordered anything from this site as of yet, but I will be placing an order soon. I'll let you know how it goes.

Have a look here http://www.panzerdepot.com/index.htm they make a British and a German tank, both prepainted in 3 different schemes, the postage to Australia is a little on the pricey side for me so I opted against a purchase. Now these look good but..... to find out what postage would be I had to go through the motions of a purchase giving them my info short of my Credit Card details, later I started getting SPAM's from them after they copped a Mailing Virus. So glad I decided against now as I don't know how safe my VISA details would be if they can't prevent a simple mailer virus.
