Oooh! I love it. Saw the documentation in the June thread, then went back and saw the Zeppelin in progress in the May thread. There aren't that many rolling off the line though. I hope they are not all spoken for already.

The Zeppelins are coming along, slowly. These will be my last big effort as my fingers and hands are fading. I am taking the time to do and redo the work to make them the best yet, so please be patient.

Take as much time as you need, just following the process in pictures is enjoyable in itself.

Dave, as there are quite a few of us eager to see one of these dropped off on our doorsteps, have you considered putting together a list to gauge interest?

My build diary says the elves started this batch in May of 2019. 10 were planned, foam reserves allowed for only 8. The the hands began to bring issues to the shop. 2 hulls were sidelined with delamination bringing the core build to 6. The delamination was solved on the 2 but were too far out of step they linger awaiting an uncertain future, however the 6 were brought to completion the first week of July 2020. So it was just over a year start to finish. Other voices (vices?) calling . . . Thanks for your encouragement, a smaller size may echo your brilliant 1/288 printed masterpiece .one day . . .

They are incredible! I know that whoever acquires them will be jumping with joy. A lot of work has gone into the other two, so I hope you are able to eventually salvage them, and make two more Aerodrome members very happy.

The L-11 was an actual Zeppelin. You can Google it and see it's long history. Also the Airship Attack thread on this site is a great resource for the Zeppelin fan. . . welcome to the dark side. . .

I am over the moon! I’ve wanted one of these since I first saw you making them available almost a decade ago. I don’t always check the Aérodrome site. I will make efforts to do so until the sale is finalized. If I seem MIA after you try to contact me through this site, please try Scott <underscore> Schelter <at> yahoo <dot> com

I've appreciated watching the master builder creating these beauties, and I've enjoyed reading, and completely relating to the excitement expressed by their lucky new owners. Congrats to all from an envious onlooker. And it is very fitting that one of them will find a new home in England.

So now I have successfully requeted number six Zeppelin and am soooo happy about that. Many thanks David. I wonder if the last two, unfinished models, will be such a big temptation for those elves of yours, that they will indeed make it to completion one fine day in the not too distant future. Take care now,
    Mike

The 1/144% Solution? I have excavated a few boxes of 1/144" scale WWII and Jets! Maybe the future is in a different scale? there are hundreds of !/144" scale kits out there which will play well with our game cards . . . that PTO is not too far away and then there's jet confilcts too! Here's a taste of what I have in my collection that is needing to find new homes, prices to follow if there is interest

Hysterical. I actually wrote software for the B-52 in Wichita. Many many moons ago.

Clipper, seriously... I don’t even know what to say. I thought Flying Helmut was the King of “I’ll just pick up 27 of these and Never know when you might need 18 of these..”

I crashed the 50th Birthday party in Wichita. Three old BUF's, a ramp full of Cold Warriors and one crazy college student with a harebrained SLEP idea a prof who flew F-106s and I had hatched... a bird rebuilt to our full concept spec would make Dale Brown's hotrods look like the original 1940s Boeing 464 proposal by comparison.

    Yeah,
I've given up ever trying to get one of these. I suppose I'll have to break down and order one from Red Eagle in the UK. That is if they still make them.
For crying out loud, I live in the same state and I cannot even get one.
I mean, it's not like I've been asking to get one for the last Seven or so years now.
OH well, its not in the cards its not in the cards.

Dave, a suggestion if you think the last two can be made viable... maybe after Daniel's, talk to Herr Oberst about raffling off "The Last of the Clipper Masterpieces" as a fundraiser? I've long wanted one of these myself, but I never had budget and now that I have budget I don't have space.

Another suggestion... I don't know which stage gives you the most trouble, but have you ever considered offering "Assemble Your Own" kits?
