I'm feel lucky to have a hobby/gaming shop not too far from my house. I know I can get most anything they sell for cheaper online, but the magic of having it all there in one place is well worth the premium. It would be a tragedy to lose these places. Anyone with the option of going to a game store locally should do what's best for gaming culture at large and avoid online buying whenever possible.
Of course, if your LGS is run by jerks... buy online.
