Exclamation WW1 Art to help with Shapeways Paint Schemes!

    G'day All!
Thought you might like to have some WW1 Art as an inspiration for Paint Jobs for some of the German Aircraft from Shapeways etc plus an interesting Middle Eastern front Albatross.

    Enjoy

I just got my 1st order of shapeways planes: an Eindecker, Halberstadt DII & Albatros DII for the Germans and a pair of DH2s and a Pup for the Brits. So I'm looking into the selection of the correct colors to paint them too. I'm going to try that very light tan for the Eindecker, Blue (like the WoW Rolands) for the halberstadt and haven't yet decided the colors for the Albatros. For the Brits its the standard Brown/green uppers and buff underside.

BTW: The planes arrived in good shape and I and my gaming friends are very impressed with them. They are strong, flexible white finish and though many have commented on the need for light sanding, these look good enough to skip that step. I do believe that if there isn't an offcial model available, Shapeways is the way I'll be going in the future.

Nice pics. More and more I'm beginning to like those Austro-Hungarian planes.
