Not sure what the issue is there. It is a PDF file. It downloaded to my iPad with no problems. And, I just tried it again on my home computer.

Try again, perhaps?

I just tried it on my Nook... got error "It is failed to open this document" I can open it from the site on PC... but Adobe has greyed out the option to save... also if you note, the file size when you mouseover the link is smaller than the actual file size. Dunno what the deal is, but perhaps it is read only?

Edit Update: The file is labeled as "Protected". I was able to save the pdf to my PC, then open it in Adobe and use "File, Save as" to save a working copy to my Nook.

Anyone notice any changes? I just skimmed it (and do not play DOW much), but it looks like the same rules.

Altitude rules are the same, so probably no change. Someone found some other change?

I didnt see much new. Some of the ace abilities look like they may be new or renamed. Didn't compare the two booksside by side though.

Great catch!

It opened just fine on my laptop. Will print them up tomorrow. Time to start using the new rules, though I haven't noticed any significant changes either. But I will do a comparison run just to make sure.

Rules for Fire are a bit different. Now you can't play any Straight maneuvers while on fire (Standard Rules).
A second Smoke result will result in a Fire (Standard Rules)
Overdive gives some protection against being shot at (Advanced Rules)
Overdive can help to extinguish a Fire (Advanced Rules)
Flying Higher. Instead of using Altitude Pegs you use counters (Optional Advanced Rules)
Friring from higher altitude now causes an aditional A damage token. Same if yo execute a Dive or after the Straight of an Overdive (Optional Advanced Rules)

I print them .... 11x17 and fold brochure...like the final result...better read on paper than on screen

I think the rules for fire are fantastic.... makes me wonder if they will do something similar for WWI.

in the most like the old ones some new things like powerdive and two smoke=Fire.

I have to agree, it looks like Ares is going to be an improvement for this game, I hope so anyway. The WWII version of the game was dead on the vine, or nearly so. Maybe new life can be brought back to it! That would be super-duper!
