Thread: WWII: Which German Fighter would you most like to have as a miniature?

  1. #1

Default WWII: Which German Fighter would you most like to have as a miniature?

For this one I'm dropping the high speed requirement as there were very few fighter choices for German aircraft.

    1. Focke Wulf Fw 190
    2. Messerschmitt Me 262
    3. Messerschmitt Bf 110
    4. Dornier Do 335

  2. #2

I have voted for the Do335 since its a very special plane, but GIVE ME ALL of them!!!

  3. #3

    Default

I want the Focke Wulf Fw 190

    top three for me are:

    1: Bf 109
    2: Stuka
    3: Focke Wulf Fw 190

    Cheers

I do like the DO 335, but went with the classic FW190

The 110 has a lot of personality, plus fits nicely in the time period covered by the game.

My vote for Fw 190 to play mid-late war, one of the best fighters (I like the Bf 110 to play the Battle of Brittain too!!!)

i like 262 the best because it was faster and more manueverable than the others plus its weapons had 4 heavy cannons and most of the time air to air rockets......and who doesn't like rockets?

I'd say the FW 190. Never liked the Me 110 - the Zerstörer-role has been a real bad concept. For a 2 engine plane I prefer the Ju 88, Heinkels or Dorniers.

I'm going to plump for the 190 but what about a Me163?

Second choice the 110 - I have a fondness for twins

The Focke Wulf FW 190 for me.

While the FW190 will likely win (and I'll love it), I had to go with the 335. The whole concept is wonderful. Its the one what if plane I love to fly.

Cast my vote for the Focke-Wulf Fw 190. Pretty versatile fighter plane designed by a man named Kurt Tank. Pretty ironic someone with the name of Tank is designing planes.

What did the Amercan bomber crews call them when they were first sighted? One-Oh-Nines with radial engines. FW190A series for me

It is really easy - Fw 190 is the second nicest german plane after Me-109. And it is typical for the and of war, especially D variant with "long nose".

    Year , I voted for the FW - 190....
I like it since "Panzer General"

I like the Me 262 of course too, but I think they is too fast, and inflexible!
They could, always fly off board,...

    I'd like to see..

    1. FW 190
    2. BF 110
    3. ME 262

i'm not interested in involving the Dornier

    FW190 Yes
    BF 110 Yes
ME 262 No, I do not think it has a place in the game. It's sole purpose was to intercept heavy bombers. It was a terrible dog fighter. The pilots had orders not to engage in fighter vs fighter combat. They were to complete their mission agianst the bombers and return to base.
DO 335 No, only 35 were built and it did not see combat.

FW 190, Hands down! The best plane the Germans had.

On a side note...Thanks for doing these polls!!!!

FW 190 without a doubt in this one. I'd love to see a Walter Nowotny 190 to be honest. He has some pretty incredible days in that plane including 10 Russians in a morning.

I voted to the Me110 as it will fit in with all the other Battle of Britian aircraft.

190 for me too always had a love of this plane for no reason I can actually explain.
maybe just because it was not a 109!

after that the 110 because it fits nicley into the battle of britain campaign

The 110 would fit in better with the current minis. As an allied player I would not want to meet up with the 190s until I had a Mustang or the later cannon armed Spitfires.

The 110 is my favorite plane of WWII. I know, its performance left something to be desired, but it had very graceful lines in my opinion.

I had to go with the FW-190, Besides being one of the fastest planes it also was to me the coolest looking.
Somaliavet, My Dad shot down a ME-110 in the war and we still have the picture of it that one of his crew took . Dad was a belly gunner in a B-17.
