See, I told you he'd do one
I just can't keep up with the production rate of this company.

Looks real good! On the want list.
Has anyone done any stats for the DII?
I was looking at using the CII stats with Immelmann added, but this may be a bit slow for it, thoughts anyone

That flat cote (Humbrol) really gives papermodels a realistic finish.
but remember to really give it a good stir up, or it will either

Lovely Model Lee, impressive work again
Wings of Linen site gives it a V Deck.

It has been a 'V' deck since at least Nov. 2016, in the Unofficial Aircraft list of that date.
The posts above were all from 2011

Yes, older threads...but I have been sending messages to those members who used to be active, trying to get them back on, and answering some of their posts so that they see they received a response.
I am so tempted to buy a couple of these scouts.
I have been looking at both the Roland D.II and D.VI. Interesting to add some lesser known aircraft to the table. The D.II has a much easier paint scheme with the green and brown coloring. The Lozenge on the wings of the D.VI.....ICK! I know some of the members here are good at it. I am not one of them.
Agree, Dan! The D.IIa seems to have been used more, but has a poorer rate of climb. But it was the primary aircraft for Jasta 25 in Macedonia. Also used a lot on the Eastern Front!
So, there isn't an acceptable way to fake a lozenge camoflage?Originally Posted by camelbeagle
There may be a way to fake it. Other than decals and painting lots of dots, I am not sure how make it happen. The hard part is the bit under the top wing. I am sure you could let it go, but it would bother me that it wasn't the correct color scheme.

D.II is a lot easier to paint for sure. A very interesting plane to have for early-mid war. The D.VI is a sweet plane to fly with the F deck. Limited to summer-fall of 1918 though. The work put into camo I think is worth it.
