comparison chart

I've noticed that on the comparison chart is reported the speed of the airplanes,
is it an annotation to have a quick idea of the 'lenght' of the arrows on the deck or it have some other meaning, maybe associated to some advanced or house rules?

Sorry, missed this post. It is based off the length of the arrows. 1 being the fastest and 3 being the slowest.
