Thanks Andy. I have printed 4 mats and am always looking for something different. I love your winter landscape.
I get a 404 error when I click this link: http://www.wingsofwar.org/keegan/
Anyone else bump into this?
Guys and girls,
After doing some surfing and research i've found one superb webpage!!!
http://dylanbrowndesigns.com/tutoria...-google-earth/
Read and weep
This is the result of 10 minutes of work (my hometown Nieuwpoort Belgium)
High res file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/t2bbbocq90...lgium.jpg?dl=0
What I did (i only used Google Earth Pro and Image composite Editor):
Installed Google Earth Pro
Zoomed in to a certain height
Saved image nr. 1 (used highest res)
Scrolled map a little further
Saved image nr. 2
Etc..
Installed Image composite editor
Loaded 6 images
Auto stictch
Save image
Tada!!!!

Kjell, well done!
Thx John. I've noticed that the stitching filled some gaps like in the lower left corner of the map by copying some terrain.
Also I need to change the altitude to 800m to get a more realistic point of view.
Maybe we can make some different maps?
Nice work Kjell.

Super effort - nice result!
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Well I'm on holiday now till 9th of July and when I'm back home I'll certainly get into this.
So suggestions are very welcome...
I'm thinking of making some different gameplay maps.
For example...
Mountains ( with altitude limiter)
Beaches
Verdun
Yser
Etc...
I would love to get your 3 X 5 game mat file. the link seems to be dead. Any way to get this? Thanks.
Lugburz the originators last activity on the site was 27/11/15 Dan, so the chances of getting the link reinstated are very slim.

Thanks Rob.
Where I can find custom game mat ready for download and print ?
If you don't find one Dino, check out DeepCut Studios offerings;

As the links are dead and nothing on the internet is ever deleted, im currently in the process of uploading the files to the download section. Ill update this thread with the links when they are finished
I might even be able to get some custom sizes up, but i dont want to use up too much disk space on the server, im sure the admins will let me know
Edit: so after a long wait it turns out the file is too big to upload

Links below, i dont like using free hosting services as they can and do go down, expire links etc, so if anyone in the future has issues with these links send me a pm and ill try and get them back, ultimately i prefer it if they were hosted on the forum like before.

So sorry to bring this up, but does anyone by chance have a copy of these files (or any other hi-res mats) available? Been playing for some time with my son, but he lost interest a few years back and went on to other things (Pirate ships of all things...as a young kid might do), but now has gotten interested in playing again and I'm trying to capitalize on his enthusiasm.
I was able to find someone that could print me a map on vinyl if I can get him a file but most files are either gone, or dead links.
I bought a playmat online from Noble Knight and it was a giant let down (Blown out colours, fuzzy images, not the correct type of terrain) It clearly looks like they took a 72 dpi screenshot of their computer screen and tried to blow it up to 48'x48 then blur the entire image to try and reduce the pixelation.
Anyways, I would be INCREDIBLY grateful if anyone has some mats that they could share. Thanks.
Here is a link to my amazon album of high-res files for mats: malachi mats where you can download any that you like.
I've had all of these made in vinyl 6' x 4' at vistaprint when they have sales and they turned out well. I cleaned most of the images a bit to eliminate spots, creases, etc. Several are actual aerial recon photos from McMaster University archives (along with screenshots of the description).
WWI photo recon
English Channel/North Sea
NASA space photos for Battlestar Galactica
King Kong Manhattan 4 x 4 mat (my D6 rules are in the Files section)
Good luck and I hope you and your son have fun!
Very nice. Thanks. My kid is not feeling them so much because he sys he wants some with colour, but he's 11 years old and that's just how their brain works. I'm still grabbing them likely try to "colourize" them myself so changes his mind. He keeps showing me the old Lingster and Lugburz ones asking if I can find those and I'm trying to show him how long ago they were posted. I agree that those do seem to have more resolution, but you can't get more "authentic" than these.
No worries. If you're looking for something similar you might try: Deep Cut Studios
Their Aerial Fields comes in various sizes and types (mousepad, vinyl, cloth).
I had them make a custom called Over No Man's Land that they can probably reprint if you want the NML strip in the middle.
email custom@deepcutstudio.com to ask on that one.
That's the neoprene version.
I've got one of those Deep Cut No Man's Land mats - a thing of beauty
ive uploaded the original ones i have from the beginning of the thread along with one or 2 others, and the one i ended up printing which is called A0 i think. Ill double check in the morning to see if its fully uploaded
https://www.4shared.com/folder/cnusJPVN/maps.html
if anyone has any better suggestion where to host them ill happily do that as long as its free
If someone would like to share their own mats I will put them on my website in order to leave mats with no time limits. Tks to all.
I uploaded my copy here for you.

I'm not able to download any file, can you verify if the link is still the valid one?
Thanks
Hi Lugburz .. I know the post is very old (2012) but the file is very interesting for me because an event I'm organizing.
The link for downloading doesn't work and I'm not finding where is stored in Aerodrome, probably is not stored.
If you can be able to send me copy by wetransfer or similar tool directly to my email magno.andrea@me.com I'll appreciate a lot.
