Default Wow, Graf Zeppelin model was SLIGHTLY larger than I planned!

    Friends,

So I caught sight of a really nice looking Graf Zeppelin model kit on eBay, it was opened but like new, never put together. Only $30 plus shipping. I THOUGHT it was 18 inches long. So, I snagged it.

The box arrived today. This model is almost FOURTY INCHES LONG!!!! It’s massive!!!!

Here is me trying to get the whole box in the photo!

Then here is how big the body is!

And a look at the box. I don’t even know where to begin? Do I paint it first then assemble?! This is massive!

Look on the bright side Chuck.
As Flash said in another thread, it will be much easier to hit.

Indeed, been there and back! First thing to do is design an internal structure to mount your stands to! Have fun, and oh yeah, buy at least 4 play mats! Enjoy!!!!!!!!

Very sage advice about the mats Dave.
I needed that just for your cut down version.

Love those pics! You can use that 1 zeppelin in like 4 games at the same time.

It looks like it will open up and spit out 4 baby zeppelins.

Thanks for the kind words! But I really will need some advice on putting this baby together. And I need advice on the stand!

What ever you do, do not use CA glues on it. Liquid plastic cement works best. PM me if you want some ideas on the build and Wings of War conversion details . . .

You should do this with it

Very cool! I have 2 of these kits unbuilt in the kit library, might have to go down this route. I did one stock and one as the Acron/Macon. How many Zeppelins does a person need? . . . heresy I know . . .

The most I have seen on the table at once is a duo. Turning can be a bit interesting so you need to fly them as far apart as you can within the table boundaries.
