    Question Double Checking the P-51

    Just got these through the post, not quite what I was expecting...

    Air200 P-51B (That's what it says on the label)

    Air200 P-51D

    OK, so I've looked high and low and sometimes you just can't see the wood for the trees but...

    The B looks like a D to me and although the D is a D I've not found many with that tail shape. Whatever, they aren't B's or C's, anything else?

    cheers,

    Dave.

    The "B" is certainly a D, and the "D" looks like a crossing of something looking slightly like a FW 190 fuselage and a Mustang nose.

    They're both Air200/Noble, basically I've decided the B is a very nice D, and the D is being re-worked to be a B. Basically the tail shape ETC are the same as a B so raising up the fuselage and covering that buble canopy will turn it into a B thus;

    Dave!

    The top one is a D without a doubt! Not bad really! The second one is craftsman project! It looks like a A-36 with a P-47D canopy! Here are some shots
    for a good comparison!

    They are all P-51D`s but some have the new dorsal fin of a classic P-51D!
