    Default Focke-Wulf 190 Restored

Thought this was a cool story!

Just the fact that it was sitting in the woods till 1989 is incredible.

Interesting side-note re the -190: There were not only fighter (air superiority) models, but attack-bomber and torpedo-bomber models; so, in theory, had the Germans gotten an aircraft carrier squared away, they could have equipped it with Fighters, Attack-Bombers, and Torpedo-Bombers all using the same airframe and engine....

Man that is freaky watching it take off, it looks like the prop is barely turning!!

    good stuff

Just camera image in synchronous action. The camera is taking pictures of a blur fast enough to make out the blades of the prop. You used to see a lot of this in 8mm and 16mm movie cameras. This is why you see what looks like the prop is going slow and reversing direction type things.

Oops - I knew that there was a German carrier named Graf Zeppelin but I didn't realize it was never operational. I guess I should have actually *read* the article. DOH!

Awesome shots Rich! Did not think the blades were that wide. And the cat on the side is cool looking. Thank you for posting.
