Default A little historical help requested.

I want to expand my fleet of WWI minis, but I'd rahter not add any aircraft that either saw limited production...or didn't make it into The Great War at all. Can someone tell me: how many Zeppelin Straakens, Gothas and Handley Pages were produced and flew during WWI?

I think you may have already checked but this is the info on wikipedia

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handley_Page_O/400

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeppelin-Staaken_R.VI

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotha_G.V

Thanks Chris! I completely overlooked wikipedia. It at least, as you said, gives me a ballpark figure. I love the looks of the Zeppelin Staaken....and it would be a neat model to have. But if only 18 or so were produced (and fewer saw service) having one wouldn't be very historically correct. Think I'll go with a the Handley-Page and a Gotha.

    I've got the following:

    0/100 - 46
    O/400 - 549
    V/1500 - 41

    Zeppelin
    R.IV - 1
    R.V - 1
    R.VI - 10
    R.VII - 1
    R.XIV - 3
    R.XIVa - 4
    R.XV - 3
    R.XVI - 2 + 1 incomplete at end of war

Can't find any accurate figures for Gothas

I can give you the Raids carried out on England by Gothas.

Daylight. 8 raids. Sorties 383 Gothas. Attacked 297. Downed 24. Damaged 36 in crashes.

Night. 19 raids.(Gothas and Giants) Sorties 30 Giants. Attacked 28 Giants. Downed None. " Giants lost in crashes 3.

In all six British aircraft were shot or forced down.

that is all I can find at present but may help to put the amount of Gotha activity into perspective. they were also used on raids over Paris and other strategic targets as well.

I think you raise a good point. However the Germans tended to use their giant aircraft in service even if they were one offs.
Historically it would not be wrong to use them if you only had one.
From my understanding there were 18 Staarkens built that entered service 6 crashed/shotdown. At least one bombed England.
