Barrage Balloons over the front.
This Friday the last Friday of May we will be gaming Wings of War/Glory in Hamilton Ont. at the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry from approx. 7pm. Any & all flyers welcome.
What happened to the barrage balloon?
4 ground mgs one in each corner supported the lowering of the balloon. 4 Albatross v attacked the balloon. A lone Camel wandered amongst the Albatross' giving the balloon assistance. In turn 4 one of the Albatross' was shot to the ground. By turn 6 the balloon had accumulated 12 damage points & a second Albatross went ground wards. By turn 9 the balloon had 23 damage. Turn 10 saw the Camel with 12 damage points Two of the ground mgs had stopped firing. Turn 11 saw another Albatross heading to the ground. The balloon made it to the ground with 26 damage points. the Albatross headed home. The Camel also headed home.
Hmmm... no fires on the balloon? Very lucky balloon!

I use one damage deck with each plane/balloon. In this case the A deck only causes the balloon to catch fire on the 2 therefore very little chance of catching fire. One chance in 35 cards. Even though over half the deck was used. The game lasted 12 turn but only 8 turns of damage was incured by the balloon.
We had 6 flyers in the balloon game.

It's closing in on the last Friday of June, so another gaming night at the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry(RHLI) hall. Hope to have a few flyers. We are going to go observing tonight.
