    Smile Prime Time

Just sharing my first paper models pics, the Avorio-Prassone and the Parseval-Sigsfeld. At this stage they have the first coat of primer no clean-up or sanding yet. I hope to work on them soon, can't wait

    The AP

    and the PS

    What do you guys think?
Any pointers to get the best finish?
    Thanks ahead of time.

What did you use for primer? Was it spray or brush on? How did the paper take to the paint (or is it the other way round)?

For primer I used testors enamel primers, hard to find on a jar now a days. I am sure their mini spray cans work well but I wanted more control.

I had to dilute them with thinner to apply to the balloons with airbrush.

The paper did take them well, virtually no warping as the airbrush allowed me to control the flow of primer and apply the thinnest coat possible. Just enough to achieve coverage of the model.

    Thanks for asking.

A cracking pair of balloons. almost makes me wish I had not bought the more expensive models now.

Cracking work there, looking forward to seeing the finished article. Can't help with finishing , however have a look at the "army painter" system , it will varnish and dark wash the model at the same time. It may help
