…and that was it for me.

Needless to say, I simply COULD NOT draw a ‘0’, so for the next NINE cards I drifted down, down, down, miles away from the action, ignored by everyone (after all, who would want to descend way down to finish me off, only to have no possibility of climbing back up into the fight before the game ended?).
I would much rather have had a proper 100% damage BOOM – at least I could have respawned and continued playing.
As it was, this long, slow, lingering demise made me lose all interest in the rest of the game, so much so that I stopped taking further pictures.

    Until…

Nice report. I want to know though...did you hit the ground eventually or did you manage to restart the engine? Also, where did you get those boom card modifiers?

    No restart!

The game finished just before the moment I would have made landfall......

The Boom card modifiers? Do you mean the two Booms I received?
They were part of a "Boom Deck" thought up and produced by Peter (Teaticket) who ran the Tournament game. Judging by the little blue number on the cards, there must have been at least 41 cards in that deck!
    Ask Peter about it.

Poor Germans, firing B against B firing opponents. If you wanted an A firing plane just get shot down quick and you get an upgrade to A. Remember that for next time.

Just perhaps not suited to a Tournament-style game?
I could see it being a great enhancer to my Campaign Rules

    I disagree (respectably).
It adds good fun and unpredictability to the game.

    That's fair.
In my assessment, however, anything which adds so much complexity and unpredictability slows down the action, and all the Tournament-style games I have experienced have all thrived on speed and simplicity.

From my POV, it was the poorest scoring invitational I flew in (and I've only missed the 2nd one).
    Not one kill

We had 17 pilots. There were 15 kills. One triple (but shot down twice!), two doubles and eight singles. Six pilots got no kills. I should still have last years results if I can find them. Previous results I have no idea.
