DONCASTER 2024 THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY

So after a great 2023 event, thoughts turn to 2024 and our tenth anniversary...
I hope to be able to confirm the dates in the next day or so. Taking on board feedback, especially from our European colleagues, I will try to book dates at the end of September rather than the start.

Once confirmed, we can start looking at how we can make next year the best ever....

The ‘bring & buy’ seemed to be a big hit so we’ll definitely repeat that. Also hoping to renew the advertising deal with ARES which will ensure a plentiful supply of prizes.

Any ideas and/or suggestions gratefully received....

I can add plans that we have for Prague geathering, maybe they can inspire you:

Wings of War Vintage: There will be 20^th anniversary of the very first release of WoW: Famous Aces next year, so we want to bring this old fashioned experience back on the table. No mat, no minis, cards only (maybe the first possibility to play with promo or booster pack cards? We'll see...
Memorable Missions: There were more than 125 missions during past years and we plan bring two or three back. There will be a poll to vote the chosen ones. My personal favourite one are from TataMichal and Thunderbolt (both PL), but we'll see which one would be the top.

PS: I guess there could be some support from mighty Andrea for this cunning plan. And from Kubajs's wife who is famous for her "It was such a nice and compact game when it was just a card game..."

The one I have at the moment is quite spectacular enough for me Squadron Leader. The quack now has me flying on antibiotics for it and no G&t for a week, til the course is finished.

I've pencilled in the dates. Not sure if Piper and Becky will be with me as it will be during term time so would be a challenge to get up there at a sensible time on the Friday. If Piper is still interested closer to the time though we'll make it work somehow.
