Default AAR Wright Flight September 9th 2023

The Wright Flight took to the skies today. Today, we did some Italian verus Austro-Hungarian Empire!
And again, the curse of the upside down photos has struck again!

We had a nice group today. In attendance was Chris, Marq, Ray (The G Dog), Mike, Jake, Bob, Bob's two sons, Kaz, Kaz's Son, Matt (adler64), Bill (Old guy), Tom (redcoon2), Jay (JAYCRF450), and myself.

If they did not die in the crash, they were captures by the Austrian troops.

This one would be more of a draw. The RE8 was shot down and the mission lost. But, the Austrians lost two planes.

    A great day of games!

Nice action, Dan and great AAR! Don't bother about the upside pics, they would be perfect to portray an immelmann!

Love the mock up fires, is it fit directly on the mini? Did you buy them or are they home made?

Will toast with a glass of vino to the memory of my fallen compatriots shoot down by the crucchi*

*Crucchi (pron. Kru-kee) is a ww1 slang still in use in Italy to designate (not in a very nice way) someone of German language. Funnily enough, the root of the term is not German but the word Austro-Hungarian POW of Croatian language would use to ask word for bread, Kruh

Such carnage and mayhem with some roasted brats on the side! Great games Dan. I'm envious of the large group of pilots in your club and of all ages - great to see. And those multi-colored flames on the fire cards are awesome.

    Thanks guys!

Valerio, I got some colored pipe cleaners from the local craft store. Took the red and orange and twisted them together. They fit between the wings pretty good. On the monoplanes you have to squeeze them together a bit, but they work pretty good.

Great games Dan. You are quite lucky to have such a large group to fly with. Now I even recognize a few!

I can second both of those comments.

So clever and definitely cheaper/quicker than many Amazon alternatives!
