    Default Fokker D.VI

    Hi

Can anyone suggest which manouvre deck should be used for the Fokker D.VI?

    Thanks

    Robin

Hi Robin, the Unofficial Stats Committee give it a U deck - the same as a Sopwith Triplane, they're the same manoeuvres as a Fokker Dr.1 but a faster speed bracket .

I keep wanting to grab a D.VI from Shapeways as a project, but do not want to deal with the lozenge pattern on the upper wings! Painting or decaling that does NOT sound like fun.

Ditto! The wing decals are some work.

Maybe RAF will add it to his to-do list.
    I'd buy a couple.

    Pretty!

Alas, I don't have any good drawings of it (plus photos to clarify those drawings), and Windsock Datafile 84 seems pretty hard to come by. I'll add it to my watch lists.

I think I can get to this for you tomorrow, Daryl.

    Thanks flash.

Regarding the lozenge camo, I found this site:

    https://www.aviattic.co.uk/1144-decals.html

    Might be ok?

Might work for the upper wing, but trying to get a decal around the struts on the lower wing would most likely cause me to become apoplectic!

    Great job, Phil!
According to the Fokker aeronaut book vol 5 part 1, yes, Bavarian colors were used (blue and white).
