I think that balloon card looks magnificent!

Now, how to stack the odds so I can win it...?

Hot off the "Workbench of Shame" (and probably the last this month) - 2 Bf109Bs and a Henschel 126 for the Condor Legion.

All models are from AIM, decals from MiscMini, paint is from the AK SCW set.

Fantastic workmanship Steve on those SCW aeroplanes

Thanks guys. Considering that it's a bit of a niche period, it's surprising that there are so many different types of aircraft available. Next up will be 3 early Stukas, then probably back to the Republicans with Nieuports, Furies and Bulldogs.

Finished just in time for the May Workbench: Three Ju 87A Stukas for Spain. Models are printed from Planeprinter files, decals from MiscMini, paint from AK SCW set.

Next project is to clear up my workbench so I can find stuff

Excellent Stukas Steve, but the workbench now looks almost lonely Sorry Jammed Rep gun again. Have to whack the armourer around the ears. Or maybe it's my fault - as always

    Rep gun now unjammed

Nice Stukas, Steve. And is that a Frogfoot I spy on the newly cleared bench?

Yes Karl, it is. Painting stalled on it mid way through last year due to other projects. I really must get it finished, as my Warpac forces keep getting hammered and need some air support.

    Default Origin's planes!

Here the so far finished planes for Origins. Some were actually done in May, but delays in photo taking and such.

All Paints are Vallejo model colors and decals are Mincminis. One exception: the Red on the I-16s is Tamiya red; went on like nail polish.

Nice going Karl. I particularly like the Miles M20s. Now, who's going to volunteer to fly them?

Edit: the Nationalist tail markings are buggers to put on, aren't they?

Well, The Miles.20s are basically Hurricanes; I bought them years ago (Kampflleiger on shapeways) so I could honor Zoe Brain's Dad with a game
(He worked for the Miles company in the 50s?). The thought of having a Canadian-built/converted emergency carrier with emergency fighters
going against the Graf Zeppelin was too good a game to pass up. I need to do a companion game, with swordfish vs. the G.Z.

Actually the tail markings (on the I-16s) weren't too bad; the wingtip ones were so hard for the first, I gave up, and just painted them. The one with
more red is from the Red Tailed squadron. I could only find drawings/pics of the one (#23) so I didn't know if the whole squadron was like that.

I did forget to mention: the Bf-109Bs are from Aim; as stated, the Miles.20s are from Kampflleiger on shapeways and the rest are also from
shapeways, though I'd have to check my invoices to figure out the shop (lots of old purchases here).

Had to look the Miles M.20 up, Karl, for a fast build it looks like it could have been quite handy, shame it never got into production. Thanks for posting them

I don't have the stat for this plane, so this is speculative. And IIRC, Steve [Guntruck] may not have bomber templates...

I have bomber templates, just not for this aircraft. Nice job Mike. I've got a 109B card and Heinkel 111 card on the go at the moment.

    I'll work on this one when I get back from Origins;
Steve: per the file I mentioned. I'm having issues with Excel on the laptop now
I can get it worked out, but not until next week.

I'm going to start throwing my SCW cards here as works in progress. Maybe if we are kicking the SCW about it should have a thread other than May's workbench?
