Been contacted by the organisers and I have asked for two tables, one WW1 and the second for Sails.
So looking for Volunteers for the WW1 tables, to run and bring kit etc as usual.
Let me know and I can confirm with Hammerhead .

Another good show. Great turn out from the forum, I counted FIFTEEN forum members present, role call as follows....

Rob (Kyte), Chris (Boney10), Andy (Hawkhurst) Marian (Deadly M), Simon (Maverick/Ensign Patch), Andrew (Capt. Pugwash), Tim (Flying Helmut), Doug (Merlin45), Gary (McDorf), Karl (Klunk), and the Biggles Troop (John, Ruth, Amy and Hannah) and obviously, me.

Really busy day, speaking to many of the traders they all seemed to be very satisfied with the day's business.

The Boaty Boys (and Girls) up to their watery shenanigans

Game one saw a flight of RE-8s scouting out bombing and photographing a Germán airfield just behind enemy lines. The Airfield belonged to Jasta 18 and they weren't very happy about it. We decided to go with Jasta 18 as their livery matched Tim's new polo shirt.

The attack went well despite there being more gun jams than I can ever remember. The airfield was bombed, photo's were taken and 2 of the Jasta 18 Albatrosses were shot down all for the loss of one of the RE-8s

    Unlucky Tim...

Great effort folks, huge thanks to everyone who made it to Newark.

In the afternoon we had a few rounds of dogfighting with a variety of aircraft, I am sure there will be photo's posted of those actions, it was a good afternoon to be flying a Bristol....

Although I was constrained for most of the day to the other table in my alter ego as Admiral of the Fleet, I did get this passing shot of a couple of our Wings groupies in the heat of the action.

I was there and Wings briefly features in my video report:

I spotted what appeared to be a captured DH4 in red and white - was I right?

    Indeed you were!

The DH4 A7703 was an ex-55 Squadron machine, forced down on 30th August 1918 (possibly by August Raben himself).
Taken to the Jasta 18 airfield at Montingen, it was repainted in full "Staffel Raben" colours (but probably DIDN'T carry the black raven - it is absent on all surviving photographs).
