Surely the "Purest competitive WGF experience" is to fly identical planes against each other? ; no need to ban anything - the only variables are pilot skill and the random card draws.

Yeah, I'd wager 2:1 on Fokker D.VII vs SSW D.III/IV or Sopwith Snipe.

Everything else, at least 5:2.

A few things do play into this, I'm sure. If you get a pilot wound, a lot of the maneuverability of the D.VII is out the window. I'm not sure what happened in my head-to-head with a D.VII, but I did take it out in a Snipe. Might be your opponents?
