    Default Stupid Beginner Question

    Hi

Just a very 1st beginner question
I have a lot of planes (built and bought) for WW1, also the 2 duel kits and the rule box

    but what is for WW2?
    How to start with this?
There is a starter set (available at Amazon)
Is this all for the rules?
Or is there as for WW! a "advanced rule box" existing?

How about plane and manouver cards. Are these decks available too?

    Best,
    Lutz

And btw....what is "Blood red skies"?

You can download rules in PDF format from Ares. I bought the Battle of Britain box myself from Rivalsky games a while back, that has rules and all you need to play. You should search Ebay or Amazon too.

Blood Red Skies is a dice based game that uses miniatures too but you have to paint them.

As mentioned in another recent thread WW2 is getting increasingly hard to find, Lutz, the last iteration was the Battle of Britain box set with a pair of Spitfires and Me109's in it along with all the rules, counters, templates needed. If you can find that you'll do fine but as Gary says you can always download the rules and make the tokens needed.

    Hi

Thank you for your help and answers.
I was able to get a "Battle of Britain" set (new) for a cheap price at ebay.
It seems that WoG WW2 is out of print, correct? Cause many planes and also the WW2 Wings of Glory Rules and Accessories Pack are not available anymore.

Creating (printing) planes is not a challenge (for me).
There a lot of different planes available (at the moment 41)....one of them I have. The Heinkel He-111. I will use this as a test print, to see how it works cause of the glass cockpits.

But I hope it will be successful.

But now I have a more detailed question:
bases for fighters = easy. I think they are the same as for WW1 ones.
Also for planes like the Bf-110....I think you can uswe the base for a 2-seater

But what about bombers? When I see the available ones (e.g. Lancaster), they have a lot of different lines printed (different shoot angles?)

Does anyone have a Heinkel He-111 for WoG?
CAn you send send me a detailed photo (with a ruler at the side or on millimeter paper) of the base? So I can try to create one
And does anyone have a plane card and manouver deck of the Heinkel He-111?

    Thank you

    Best from Singapore
    Lutz

P.S.: If this will work fine and someone wants/needs some planes. I can print and send them to you (only material and shipping costs for board members)

PS: Bomber base should be: 80 x 110mm (if I have the measurements right).

blood red skies is a decent source for 1/200 minis to convert for wings of glory. the cards are even the same dimensions as wog cards so are usefull for printing out and gluing for wog cards.
