Default AAR The Wright Flight January 15, 2022 in Dayton Ohio

The Wright Flight got together for its monthly meeting on Saturday. We went to the Middle East for some British vs Ottoman Empire. This was just one great big air battle!

We had twelve participants! Eleven fliers and one game referee. Great turnout!!!

I also apologize. Yet again, I had a couple of pictures go upside down.

For the British we had three Bristol M.1C and three RAF RE8 two seater.

The Ottoman Empire had some Halberstadt D.V (I cold be wrong here). German Albatros D.III reinforcements, and a Two Seater that I cannot remember what it was.
Now, in the picture I have four Albatros D.III, but we only but three on the table.

Now, this one is a proxy. On on the Bristol models had its magnet come off. So they substituted this model as a stand in. I had to add the picture because it is a really nicely done plane.

That is terrific action with some beautiful unusual planes.
    Bunch of Rep sent.

The two-seater of the Central Powers could be an AEG C.IV
With its typical square horizontal stabilizer.

And a very short length for a two seater :
    Length: 7.15 m (23 ft 5 in)
    Wingspan: 13.46 m (44 ft 2 in)

Shorter than the Albatros D.III :
    Length: 7.35 m (24 ft 1 in)
    Upper wingspan: 9 m (29 ft 6 in)

compared to the Rumpler C.IV :
    Length: 8.41 m (27 ft 7 in)
    Wingspan: 12.66 m (41 ft 6 in)

Lots of action with so many planes and a few very nice ones, in particular the red and white candy striped Albatros and the standin proxy cdl although it didn't last long.
Nice to see the Bristol's as well.
    Cheers

Oh, I liked the unside down pictures just a bit suprised it was the tandems looping the loop.

Nice AAR from an under represented (at least on my table) theatre. I didn't know the Halberstadt D.V could fly inverted!

Good game and as you say Dave it is always great to put a few new faces to the names.

The Brits went out for Turkey dinner, but it didn't work out that way!

Great action, and nice to see the faces behind the names.
