2022 Fall In – Game 3 – Double the Fun

This is a battle of two seaters. Bristol 2f2s vs Halberstadt CL.IIs. (A downed Halberstadt will be replaced with a Hannover) Bristols will be shooting A/B or B/A but have the normal 2 seater rear arc while the Germans will use the Roland C.II rear gunner arc.

Only 4 pilots lifted off during the dinner hour time slot.
Karl (Jager) and Kurt fly for the Kaiser while Luke and Mike (mikejr74) fly Entente.

Karl took some pics of the game and I have added them in with mine.

Two German tandems approach one British Bristol. Where’s my wingman?






The Bristol evades the two on one, still looking for his wingman…




The 2nd Bristol isn’t treated well and it’s engine smokes. It evades the oncoming Halberstadt with an overlap.






The white Bristol is set on fire but not without some revenge. The yellow Halberstadt has both it’s pilot and observer wounded!




The Bristol is in a tough spot but gets some joy setting the yellow Halb on fire.






The fire shows no mercy to the Halberstadt.




The German gets revenge downing the Bristol, firing until his rear gun jams.




The tables soon turn and the second Halberstadt is downed.




The first Hannover on the scene.


He is quickly set on fire!


A second Hanover joins in and is alarmed that his wingman is burning.


He doesn’t have long to feel bad as the fire quickly dispatches the green Hannover.


The Germans did their share of damage but overall the RAF won the day.

I have never tried a 2 x 2 scenario before.

It was a tough fight; I usually do better flying those CL class planes.

Thanks for that matt Chris. This was a good chance to use it after Origins so it had to get on the table.
