Default Tragic air accident in Dallas

Sad news of a crash between a B17 and a King cobra at an air show in Dallas today. My thoughts are with the families of the crew members.

Looks like the Airacobra's pilot's view of the B-17 was completely blanked. Nasty business all around, I do hope the families of those involved are able to recover quickly.

A very tragic accident. The P-63 pilot made a serious piloting error, and there was no recovery.
Prayers for those involved and their families.

Horrific collision - judging by the footage no one could have got out of either plane.

Condolences to friends and families of the bereaved.

Very sad news indeed. I photographed this same B-17 at our local Air Show at the end of September. Thoughts and prayers for all the families.

heartbroken over this. not only for the loss of life (my condolences), but the b-17 is my favorite ww2 aircraft, and ive had the fortune of going aboard texas raiders numerous times over the years at the dayton airshow. it also saddens me that now theres 1 less airworthy b-17 gracing the skies.

While it is a loss of great aircraft, it is a huge loss to those individuals who loved flying those planes!!! RIP in the clouds gentleman!!!

Good Day within the past few days the National Transportation Safe Board has released its preliminary report. I have included a video that breaks down the report it does not look good.
