AAR #1 Only three players, but we had fun. Craig designed an interesting recon scenario. Three target cards were laid out with one being a tank park. The mission was to find the tanks. At the first target a roll of 1,2 on a 6D was the park. If not, a roll of 1,2,3 on the second target was the park. If not, the third target was definitely the tank park. Craig flew an FE2b. Because we normally do not play with altitude on a roll of 4,5,6 on a 6D the observer could shot at an airplane that was behind the FE2b. John flew an SE5A, while I defended the unknown tank park with a Fokker D.VII.
A head on attack can be satisfying.
Unfortunately, early on I sustained engine damage. The requirement to play a stall every turn sometimes made catching the FE2b problematic.
A long shot, but that pesky SE5a is hitting me.
Another long range shot. The observer tried to shoot me, but rolled poorly.
This time the observer got a good roll, and set me on fire.
Another bad roll for the FE2b
But the FE2b has found the tank park. Now it must return to its starting position with the intelligence it has gathered. The Fokker must stop this from happening.
Trying to close on the FE2b, while the SE5a is flying interference.
The FE2b got past the Fokker, but I'm trying to catch up. However, that stall requirement is really killing me. The SE5a turned around and tried to finish me off.
Add was successful.
Not enough damage to stop the FE2b from completing its mission. The SE5a only took one point of damage since I only shot at it once.
