Thread: Farewell to an amazing pilot

Default Farewell to an amazing pilot

My mom passed away last night after losing her battle with the lingering effects of cancer and heart problems. She was the hub of the wheel for our family and almost solely responsible for my love of board games. Although it's a hard time, the family is doing pretty well and doing our best to remember her in happier times. Here she is last Christmas, so proud to have ruthlessly shot down my Santa and reindeer using her favorite MvR Dr.I. Blue skies forever, Mom.

Hi Chris, sorry to hear your sad news, there's no words that can really help at a time like this but the good memories of her will stay with you always. Any mum who can shoot down her sons Santa must have left you with lots of good memories.
    Take care

Chris, I am so sorry to hear that. You and your family should be proud that, at least as recently as that brilliant photo was taken, she enjoyed her last days on earth with you all.

Thanks very much to all of you for the comforting words and encouragement. Playing games of all types has always been an important part of our family bonding and friendly competition. Mom will be missed for her ever-enthusiastic participation but we have many, many great memories of those times to hold onto.
