Sorry to hear that Dave. I hope it is not giving you any pain, and that the hospital gets you sorted out soon.

Cheers chaps, it's not imminent but it is distracting and will be major surgery when it happens, though I should be recovered from it in six weeks, if all goes to plan.

Sorry to hear this and hope it goes well when it happens. I am sure will see you before then.
Glad you have been given the go ahead for the surgery, if not a date as yet. Here to help as and when buddy![]()
PS By the way, I wonder if, during hospitalisation, you will have the opportunity to meet Nurse Schultz!![]()
Sorry to hear that Dave. Hope it's nothing too![]()

Hi Dave - sorry to have missed this, hope everything goes well when you get the call. If it's soon you might gave a bed next to Nurse Shultz, or if she's recovered from her recent escapade you might have a bed under her care.
Not sure which would be worse.
All the best and take care.
Flying Officer Vagabond
I've just tried to post my latest missadventure and the site is giving me a message to say that my first photo is over my limit by 105,95 mb but as the photo is only 40 kb I don't understand why that would be. I have a silver membership and that has just been collected via Paypal. There's no where I can see what my limit to post is, nor how much I've posted to date. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful for any help.
I was hoping to post this tonight because tomorrow I go foreign for 2 months and probably can't post anything other than comments due to data limitations. Anyway if I can't resolve it then it looks like the end of the road for 2nd Lt Vagabond in the OTT Campaign.
All the best mes amies.
See if it is OK now John and if so check with Keith to make sure your Membership has gone through, because Tim had the same problem. I have restored your Silver Membership for now.

Rob you are a star, thanks, I've posted the game and will check with Keith when I can. As far as I can see I've used 180 Mb and should have 500 mb although I'm sure the last time I looked it was much more that 180 but still a long way from 500.
Thanks for your help. I'll let you know how I get on. I'll also check the mail from Paypal but I know the money has left my bank account.
Cheers and thanks to Teaticket and Baz for their help as well. Cheers again.
Just had a look at my photo usage and see I will have to delete some of mine as I am at 954Mb out of the 1Gb allotment for Gold Membership.
For a start it looks like the ones I posted of the USAF Museum in Dayton back in 2015 will have to go ...

Good morning chaps, Flying Officer Vagabond landed in Blighty yesterday and is reporting for duty. Looking forward to catching up on the games played and to getting my planes flying over enemy territory again.
Lots to do first though, the grass is 2ft tall and I'll need a scythe to cut it. Or maybe a lewis gun.![]()
Cheers![]()
Welcome home, John.

Uncle will be on a spot of leave for the next week, so there will be an interruption of service for that time.
He will sort whatever needs doing on his return.
Fly safe - Don't break anything !![]()

Enjoy your time away, Dave.
I am going to try to get caught up over the next week after my 12 days away in Ohio and Kentucky.
![]()
Take care Dave. Like Pete, I have some catching up to do. I even still have a few Origins AARs left to do!![]()
Have fun Dave, but watch that neck of yours![]()
And welcome back John V - A bit late on this one but then I'm always way behind everyone else. Must be related to a dinosaur with a very long neck![]()
Lt John Vagabond is celebrating his 15th and 16th victories, you are all invited to the Mess. I'm in the chair tonight, and the drinks are on me.
Of course I'm expecting you to all drink responsibly, i.e. don't spill any.
Any impolite comments about my new and exalted rank and I'm sure Biff will have you on tomorrow's early morning patrol.
See you there.
Cheers
Cheers, Vagabond![]()
Congratulations on a fine show![]()
Well done that man - I'm with you on the celebrations. However, it's a bit much asking a chap to behave responsibly don't you think. We're only boys after all. Cheers and congratulations once again![]()
Out of the skies playing sodiers for a few days folk. Shall be back briefly in time to post the September ChallengeHave fun!
Have a great time, Mike, we look forward to what devilment you've come up with !![]()

Regret I saw neither hide nor hair of him all weekend, Rob. But Margam Park muster was certainly eventful. One of our riders (Waller's Horse) came off spectacularly at the gallop, when her girth broke in the middle of the battlefield on day one. Fortunately she was unharmed, mainly by doing a very artistic forward role when she hit the ground. She was carted off on a stretcher but and was back in the saddle the next day. Balls of steel was what I thought, perhaps inappropriately. Then more tragically, Steve Pickering, a Royalist friend whom I've known and liked for years and whom you may also know, had a horse spook whilst mounting. It fell over backwards and on top of him. Taken to hospital with level 1 critical injuries and has been operated on today. I just pray he's ok ish now. Other than that I enjoyed the event enormously. Played at being a mounted dragoon, to dismount and go bang - then remount to play trooper on behalf of the Parliament. But I never saw the Lord General, sorryGive my regards to the Lord General Mike.
Away from the office early tomorrow, for the weekend in Doncaster. Hope to deal with any more mission 9 questions by the end of this evening. Otherwise, when I get back Monday or Tuesday.
Well, my friends. I have completed the "official" OTT EYM mission 9 and the AAR is all ready to post. However, some of the pics at the beginning are definite spoilers if you haven't already played the scenario. So I shall not post the AAR until our return from Canada in October - Unless, of course, there is an outcry and you want me to go ahead now. But I repeat, this mission is all about accurate / inaccurate bombing on a mixed military and civilian target and the attempt to do that well based on photo interpretation. The Target photo may be pretty obvious to you all anyway, so spoilers may not make a difference. In which case, if you want me to post the AAR I shall. Just don't assume that because I bombed something, that is the right spot to bomb. You'd get a surprise
If I don't hear otherwise its going up in October.
Chau for now,
Mike
No problem with waiting, Mike; a lot of players are just catching up anyway. Besides, I don't know if spoilers matter - after rolling for deviation and then selecting the primary target dot at random it's unlikely a player will "hit" what they think are military targets. I've played the game and the final "primary" red dots aren't at all the targets for which I was "aiming to hit."
Of my four bombing "packages", only one didn't deviate. The others deviated by 2, 5 and 6 cm. That still wasn't too bad as my "aiming" point dot was still in the "frame" in all cases, but, alas, the random roll never once selected my "aiming" point dot.
Enjoy your trip.![]()
Great! Sorry Paul, but that's exactly what I was hoping for - you're a star performerI've played the game and the final "primary" red dots aren't at all the targets for which I was "aiming to hit.![]()
Essentially, although that's a little harsh.
OK guys. I can see no further AARs for Mission 9 right now. So Until 7th October, out of the Office; catch up when I return.Take care all.
Have fun across the pond, Mike, see you when you get back..
"He is wise who watches"
I'll be away for a few days starting Wednesday, chaps, but will post the October mission on the 2nd if that's ok. Might be able to post it tomorrow if that's preferred. Thanks!
No problem for me. I will be on a cruise - away for most of October. I doubt I will get the game played before I leave and, even if I do, I won't be able to do up the AAR until November. I'd rather play the game in November than leave a month between the game and write up.
Looks like it's in the 70-80 bracket this week so should be toasty.

Good morning all. Just made it back from Canada, bringing with us a hefty dose of Covid! I've a bit of catching up to do but no energy to do it right now, so things are on hold for a few more days. Looking forward to getting back into the swing of it
Meanwhile,
Take care all,
Mike
Ah, so you're helping to keep the international spread going! Take care and clear that out of your system. Chris (Malachi) is also dealing with it after with coming home from a trip.
Hope you recover quickly, Mike! I had a booster 10 days before exposure so perhaps that helped a bit - congestion and sneezing pretty bad the last couple of days but I think I've turned the corner.
He's expecting to be fighting fit for Flight Club next Sunday![]()
