The map is getting less crowded, only the three Albatri are left for the Austro-Hungarians showing their resilience, casualties from Part 2:
Banfield/Ravensberg shot down over friendly territory by Fucini
Linke-Crawford forced to return to base due to wounds (Baracca probable)
Turek shot down at sea over friendly territory by Fucini
Nungesser shot down in flames at sea over enemy territory by Ravensberg
Urban forced to return to base due to engine trouble (Dupon probable)
Jannello/D’Annunzio shot down over enemy territory by Brumkowski
Fucini and Baracca double-team Brumkowski for serious damage, leaving him no choice but to leave the battle. Hautzmeyer and Scaroni exchange shots for minor damage and a gun jam for Scaroni.
Hautzmeyer follows up on Scaroni spraying his plane with bullets and causing serious engine trouble to end his battle. Fucini blocks Baracca’s line of sight to get another shot at Brumkowski.
Gruber (engine) and Dupon (wounds) leave the map to head home.
The remaining combatants take a breath to assess the situation, clear gun jams and check on ammo.
Hautzmeyer and Fucini close to short range, Fucini hits him for 2 damage and damages his rudder controls. Hautzmeyer takes careful aim and sprays bullets the entire length of the fuselage hitting Fucini who falls back in his seat, the plane spirals to the grounds but jams his guns. That leaves 2 on 2 but Brumkowski and Scaroni are returning to base, leaving Hautzmeyer and Baracca to the sky.
Brumkowski leaves the map chased to the end by Baracca.
Scaroni leaves with engine trouble.
Hautzmeyer clears his jam and starts the final chase.
Baracca performs a perfect Immelmann and turns to face his enemy.
They close on each and Hautzmeyer is able to get in a position to fire at short range without return fire.
It seems like minor damage, but the Spad of Baracca has severe damage and must return to base.
With one last turn to chase, Hautzmeyer realises he is the last remaining pilot. The Spad of Baracca is too quick so both return to their respective bases, the debris of war littered over the area from a bloody encounter.
Part 3 casualties were:
Gruber (engine) forced to return to base (Nungesser probable)
Dupon (wounds) forced to return to base (Linke-Crawford probable)
Fucini shot down at sea over enemy territory by Hautzmeyer
Brumkowski (damage) forced to return to base (Fucini probable)
Scaroni (engine) forced to return to base (Hautzmeyer probable)
