A Great day for the RFC - Colours 2022 Participation Game ARR

This is the first game I played, but by no means first game of the day as I arrived quite late. The players consisted of myself, Flying Helmut, Flash, Ajay and 2 'Civillian' participants.

Turn 1:

On the right side of the battle area, my Camel is looking to get behind the Fokker of Flying Helmut (Tim)


In the centre, the Camel of Ajay (Andy), with two kills already from previous games, goes for a head-on pass with the Fokker of Participant #1...


..and on the left, the Fokker of Participant #2 gets a firing solution on the Camel of of Flash (Dave)

Turn 2:

Tim's guns jam as we exchange fire,...


..Andy comes looking to possibly get a position on Tim


..while Dave 'goes to town' to play with the two civillian participants

Turn 3:

Tim and I part company...


...while Andy goes to help out Dave who now has a 'burning issue' with the two Fokkers

Turn 4:

I bank round to try once again to get position on Tim...


...as Andy and Dave jocky for position with the Fokkers

Turn 5:

I got Tim almost exactly where I wanted him but the range was too long...


Unlike the two Fokkers who both managed to get shots in at Dave and Andy

Turn 6:

After Tim performed an Immelmann, and we exchanged fire, I started to smoke as we crossed paths...


..Dave having dealt the final blow to the Yellow Fokker sets his sights on the Red one as Andy leads him away

Turn 7:

Tim and I turn as tightly as possible trying desparately to get the advantage..


...while the 'conga' chase continues

Turn 8:

Andy comes to join the dance, raking Tim's Fokker...


...as Dave close in on the Red (Baron) Fokker

Turn 9, Phase 1:

Andy shoots Tim again..


...Dave continues to cahse the Red Fokker

Turn 9, Phase 2:

I turned back to join Andy on Tim's tail (literally)..


..as Dave and the Red Fokker exchange fire

Turn 9, Phase 3:

I get another shot at Tim...


...and Dave and the Red Fokker wave at each other as they pass

Turn 10:

My guns jammed just as Andy puts the finishing burst into Tim...


..and the Red Fokker turns sharply to try to gain the position on Dave

Then I forgot to take photos as we flew around for a few turns...

..before Dave raked the Red Fokker for the final kill...

...making it 3:0 to the RFC!


It was a close call for me ending the engagement with just 1 HP remaining on my Camel.

Overall a great game, that was fun to play
