The organisers have just been in touch, how large would we like our tables? Am think 8x4 for Wings and 6x4 for Sails... large enough?

8 x 4 sounds good to me.
Is that for WGF, and an identical one for WGS?

I have asked for three, will see what the response is.

Any suggestions for games? Would be nice to really show off our games.

Has to be partipation, after all that’s what we are about, so let’s keep it flat and as close to factory fresh as we can.
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
O.K., flat Earth it is.
"The Collection" will be present.

I will be running a trial of the Dubrovnik game which will figure at Doncaster later in the year.

Any idea of what game will be when, and how many games we are putting on in total?
Seems quite limited if the replies here are anything to go by.
Who is attending?

Just in the process of clarifying whether we have 2 or 3 tables. There will definitely be a sails table and a Wings table, if we have 3 then we can have a WW1 table and a WW2 table. If we have just the two then maybe we can share the two between the 3 games.
Looks like we will have a good representation from the forum so should be able to put on an interesting range of games. As far as I am aware we may well be the only participation games there, so we could be busy, which will be great.

I'd like to do both days, but none of the local chain Hotels have any parking!
Is there a recommended "somewhere" I could park up for the two-day duration?

WE HAVE ALL THREE TABLES !!! Just got the confirmation, so Sails on one, then one each for WW1 and WW2. Let’s have a great time. See you there.

Best of luck guys
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
Cheers Paul, it will be interesting as in its previous incarnation (in Manchester) this show didn’t have participation games. Nice to be blazing a trail.....

So tables look like being two 6x4’s then one larger one (asked for 10x4 as that gives us the opportunity to go big on one game... thinking of Simon’s Battle of Britain behemoth..) sure we can shuffle them around once we arrive.

Might be down to just one day now
Probably the Sunday.

Captain Kiwi has asked me about parking at the show and if we need armbands.
It also made me think about offloading. Have we a designated spot for this Chris?

That's surprisingly close to home, I guess I'd better show face.
It will be good to see you Gary.

Hi all, Mrs Biggles/ Calypso looked up the carpark recommended by the organisers. Apparently if you pre book direct it's even cheaper than their voucher system.
We are probably going to park and ride on the tram, but I am only bringing one flight of fighters to help defend 1940 Britain
Lest we forget
OK, confirmed for both days!
Hotel booked, too.
See you chaps there on Saturday morning.
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Aim to be there around 08:30-08:40

Life is pants, my transport is hors de combat with an engine light showing, so will not be able to get there.
Apologies but hope you all have a great time.

Have secured the beachhead.
We’re on the ground floor at the bottom of the staircases…. First thing people should see!
Huge thanks to everyone who made the effort to help out this very warm weekend. Simon (Strangely Brown) and Julia, John Biggles and Ruth, Rob and Andy (Capt. Kiwi) and Tim... even though he gave me 4 fire cards, 3 pilot wounds and a Boom in the same game.
Great venue to if very warm and quiet... hopefully next year will be bigger, better and busier... and without a train strike or heatwave.
Nice to see so many familiar faces as well as reconnecting with some old friends...

Glad all went well. Look forward to seeing any pics of the action

Great show Chris albeit sans many punters.
Also my heat stroke has almost passed off now. Thank goodness for the Sails Banner shadow.

I thought you were on about the shade of Joanna the barmaid in the Mess at Bentangles airfield who had her assets stripped when she backed into that Bristol running up its engine. That certainly made a prop er! mess of her if you recall that sad day. It was the week before I had my phonograph nicked from the Officers' Mess as I recall. We never got to the bottom of that either did we Squadron Leader!
