For those that missed this coming out:
British Planes That Won The War with Rob Bell is a new four-part series on Channel 5 that goes back in time to show how Britain has designed and built some of the world's most iconic aircraft. Presenter Rob Bell reveals the history of some of them, beginning with World War One fighter plane, the Sopwith Camel.
Fridays Channel 5HD at 9pm; the first programme is available on catch up through My5 currently.
They look at the replica in the Shuttleworth collection & talk to the pilot. They also visit a couple that are currently building their own replica. Didn't think much of the presenter or the presentation which seemed to suggest the Camel was the the answer to the Fokker scourge, because it had two guns... Think they missed a big bit out there, but worth a look and you'll form your own opinions of Mr Bell & co.
Spitfire next, Lanc & Harrier to come.
