Date of mission: 7^th November 1915
Location: Douai, Hauts-de-France, France
Story: Right after Third Battle of Artois both sides trying fortify their new possition on lines of contact. Observations balloons correct artillery units and digging new trenches is becoming more and more difficult. It is necessary to shot them off the sky and Luftstreitkräfte has a right man with devilish plan in his mind...
Central Powers Forces: 1× Fokker E.III, 1× Fokker E.IV (Immelmann), 2× B machine guns
Entente Forces: 2× Morane-Soulnier Type N, 2× B machine guns, 1× A machine guns
Axis victory conditions: shoot down an enemy observation balloon
Allied victory conditions: shoot down an enemy observation balloon
Special rules: ground machinge guns, Immelmann's special Fokker E.IV with 3 machine guns (AB)
Phases:

1. morning, heavy ground machine guns cover,
2. afternoon, only one machine gun on French side (for balance).

Result:

1. Draw, both balloons survived
2. Tight Entante victory.

Balance:

1. 20%. One of our pilots wanted to test Immelmann's AB Fokker E.IV so we tried to add a heavy ground machine cover to both sides. The trouble is that both types (Fokkers and M-S) have only 10 or 11 HP. so ground cover was overpowered.
2. 40%. Machine gunners were draw around lunch time so there left only one French and whole mission became playable. Anyway, I recommend to avoid AB minis and ignore Boom cards in case of playing with balloons.

Morning phase: Enemies getting closer.


Morning phase: Germans are comming close to the French balloon. Is it wise?


Morning phase: Rauchen verboten, pilot!


Morning phase: Fokker E.III underestimated combination of A and B ground machine gun and was shot down with assistance of the French fighter.


Morning phase: But nobody can survive approach to the target with an ace on his six. Draw.


Afternoon phase: New pilots in the air, machine gunners away due to late lunch and orders as before. Attaque!


Afternoon phase: ... et jusqu'au sol. Max Immelmann is a real devil with his finger on a three triggers in one moment (AB+AB).


Afternoon phase: But the second pilot continues and attack.


Afternoon phase: Immelmann turnad away maybe too early...


Afternoon phase: ...but performing his famous maneuvre finished all bussines. It is over.

If you want to downgrade the ground fire, Daniel, use the same method as the solitaire AA uses. When a target is in range draw an A damage, on drawing a special damage card of any kind the target draws the appropriate damage card from the gun employed.
