    Default Huzzah! Game 2 – B-24s Over Germany

    Similar to the previous game, the B-24s had to cross the mat, getting past the fighters to their target.

    5 players joined in to fly the fighters, 3 Germans with 109Gs and190Ds vs P-38Es.

    A P-38 splits the Germans and then makes for the pair closest to the B-24s.

    Immediate results! The first shot smokes the 109.

    The second P-38 engages, firing down on a 190 while it’s wingman tried to fend off it’s attack.

    The fighters end up behind the bombers. The Germans do their best to attempt to attack the B-24s but the American pilots are tenacious.

    Not giving in, the German fighters finally succeed in downing their first bomber, but not without cost.

    With the Lightnings momentarily out of the picture the 190s finish off a second B-24.

    A second pair of B-24s reaches the interception sector. Quickly a starboard engine belches out smoke after the pass of a Rotte of 109s.

    The 190 does it’s job and a bomber falls well before having a chance to drop it’s bombs.
    His 109 comrade can’t stay clear of the green Lightning and is knocked out of the sky.

    This last B-24 is the only one out of four to make it to the target. A tough day for the Americans.

    The Germans also lost a fair number of fighters doing their work.

    Looks like you lost the last attachment Peter but still a stunning AAR and scenario, well done again !

    I really like those Liberators of yours.
    Nice to see P-38s as well.

    I sure wish Ares would step up and give us those.
    I don't have your painting skills to tackle AIM models.

    P.S. Good to see Thomas of Thursdays' Tabletop Flights made it to your table.

    Thanks guys. No attachment missing. That's all the photos I managed to take.

    Very good to see Thomas again. I haven't seen him since well before Covid.

    Hmmmm, I don't see Invalid Attachment! I'll look at the advanced editing for any extra photos.

    Ok, I just deleted that Invalid Attachment note. Funny, there were no extra or duplicate photos to delete.
