Our man Zdenek brought up the idea for this year's Prague Con. An Entente flight gets jumped by Germans. There will be face-down cards on the table, and they will activate when the Tommy gets close enough. We worked on it together with other members, and here is what may be the final scenario.

Here is the setup. There are no Germans on the table, although there may be one or two German tandems set up, it depends. Germans are waiting in the sun. Each German player will place a randomly drawn Jump Card on the mat. That is where his aircraft enters the game. The scenario itself can be a dogfight, but bombing or Balloon busting is more fun.
German players can enter the game any time they want, but they must enter the game as soon as the closest entente aircraft crosses fully behind the center of the Jump Card.
Then they flip the Jump Card. They can use another card to help place the flipped Jump Card at the same spot. They cannot rotate the Jump Card after it has been flipped.
There is a black arrow on each Jump Card, where the German aircraft enters the game.
If there are any red arrows and a damage number on the Jump Card, the German player can choose one of the red directions instead, but receives that much damage to start with.
The Jump Card is flipped and the German aircraft enters the game in the Movement step, before a Maneuver is flipped. After the German is placed, he will immediately plan his maneuvers (for this Movement step and the rest of the Turn). If you play with altitudes, the Germans should be at +1 (not tested).
