T&T : Game 1: scenario 1
Rules: Rule book T&T. Basic rules + Black smoke
Forces: 1 MK. 1 Locust. 1 Nieuport 17.
Scenario : 1
(first objective: remove the cat)
As the morning fog lifts third squad, which had guarded the metal object for the last day, awoke to two sounds. The first the tell tell splutter of an engine "at last!" thought squad sergent Louis Babin. And the second the exclamations of the night patrol "sir! it is opening!"....
Turn 1:
* "nom de zeus" thought Guillaume "the reports were right, what kind of new german weapon is this?". Guillaume then pulled his Nieuport 17 to the right reminding himself "I am not to engage just take a photo and return to base", just as Louis witnesses the top of the metalic object unscrew and fall to the ground.
* "VIOUUUUUU". A blinding white light shoots out from the now open metal object, the three men standing the closest, were instantly vaporized.
* "Men withdraw!" "get out of here!" shouts Louis as a three legged object, nearly 10 meters tall exits the cylander.
Turn Two:
* The tripod stood implacably above the fleeing troops. Guillaume could harding believe his eyes as there was another ray of light and another three men disapeared from vue....
* "calm before the storm" thought Louis as he ran for his life "the dam thing is not even bothering to move".. "it will simply pick us of one by one"
* realization dawning on him Louis shouts "spread out, spre...." too late, as another ray of light cuts Guillaume and two other men in half...
Turn 3:
* With a blasting noise, similar to that of a fog horn the tripod makes its first steps.
* steadying its self, and with almost an after-though the light disintegrates the last fleeing men of Louis' squad.
* Then with horror Guillaume sees the mighty machine turn to face his incoming plane.
Turn 4:
* Engaged now to his flyby, Guillaume knows his has no choice but to leave his fate in the hands of god... "VIOUUUUU" ... "the Heat!" "good lord it is a heat weapon of sorts!". The Nieuport 17 shakes violently, parts of the outer skin peal away under the intense heat. But It manages to pull through.
* "come on, slow down".. "thats it! picture taken"... "now lets get out of here!!!"
* The nieuport makes a sharp turn to the left missing the tripod by a mater of meters. And with a lazy sense of easyness the tripod turns to line up the fleeing aircraft.
Turn 5:
* It is now a race, the tripod moves forward and fires again with its heat ray, and the Neuport takes heavy damage but manages to continue, Guillaume takes the camera and uses his body as a shield... the proof must be saved if we are to survive, for this "thing" is not of this world.
* "strange" thinks Guillaume as his flees "the machines needs to stop moving, this could be the break I need...."
* No sooner did he think this, the tell tell sounds of the heat ray engulfed his plane, but wether it was the distance Guillaume managed to put between them or the hand of god, the Nieuport got through this latest onslaught without any damage.
End of Game:
The Nieuport managed to get out of range and return to base with the camera in one piece.
